There is no longer any need for daily updates. Please attend your usual class times and locations as all junior and senior sessions will run as scheduled.

Also, please remember to pick up your grading forms from your instructor if you have not already done so. Grading is only three weeks away, so make sure you are prepared.

DAN GRADING & OPEN AIKI CLASS – SATURDAY 23 AUGUST

Just over 2 weeks to go!

We’re excited to announce that on Saturday 23 August, we’ll be holding our Dan Grading, alongside a special Open Aiki Class for all senior students – from White Belt right through to Black Belt.

The Open Aiki Class will kick off at 9:00 AM sharp, running for an action-packed hour and a half. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience the breadth of what we offer from Brown Belt level and above.

Here’s what to expect:
• Practice rolling and breakfall techniques on our big mats
• Learn the fundamentals of weapon training
• Explore pressure points and arm locks
• Sharpen your technique on our large hanging bags with jumping kicks, strikes, and more
• Train with multiple instructors, each leading a different area of focus as we rotate through stations – giving you a full taste of the Aiki and Dan syllabus

This is more than just a class – it’s a chance to challenge yourself, experience something new, and come together with our senior Zanshin Martial Arts community in the lead-up to Dan grading.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

ZANSHIN MARTIAL ARTS GRADING 31st MAY 1st JUNE 2025

Zanshin Martial Arts grading is on the weekend of 31st May and 1st June 2025.

How long do gradings go for?

Junior gradings take approximately one hour per group. The senior gradings are in one block of about 3 hours, with a break in the middle for lower grades to get their results.

When should I show up?

If you arrive 10 minutes before the nominated start time, that allows time for uniform checks, attendance marking, and for last-minute nerves to be taken care of.

We have stocks of uniforms, t-shirts, kicking bags and plenty of other things available at the grading shop.
