Zanshin classes will be resuming in the ACT from Monday 1st June 2020, for 19 students, in line with the easing of Stage 2 Restrictions announced by the ACT Government.
Stage 2.2 restrictions are scheduled to be brought in on June 19th, which means there will be 50 people allowed instead of 20. This means classes will be back to normal for us.
There is no update to NSW, which is not looking to ease restrictions around indoor sport until June 22nd, which will will need to confirm includes us. We will be opening a temporary Senior class on Friday nights at 7:15pm at Conder dojo while the NSW classes are closed.
20 Person Limit
The 20 person limit means we will only be allowed to have 19 students attending each class. Most classes are unaffected by this, but for larger classes, we will be operating a policy of the first students to turn up within the limit can train. Students are encouraged to visit smaller classes to avoid disappointment.
Parents and spectators will not be allowed in the hall. If you are bringing students to class you will need to drop them off and wait outside for the class to finish. Students are encouraged to turn up in uniform and leave immediately after class without getting changed.
We will also be encouraging students to put their money in an envelope with their name and drop it on the desk when they come in, to help avoid having non-students come in, people gathering around the desk and to minimise contact.
No Monthly Fees – We will not be allowing Monthly Fees for June because we cannot guarantee students will be able to train with the limits in place. Restrictions can also be imposed again with no notice. We think it will be fairer if students only pay for classes they attend.
Ai Ki Class will be moving temporarily to Holt Dojo on Wednesdays at 7:30pm. You will need to book in by calling Soshi on 0408 440 615 each week. Bookings won’t carry over to the following week and you can only book one week at a time.
Class Changes – Some of our classes will not be opening right away, including Bonner, Aranda and Holt on Wednesdays.
We have opened temporary Senior classes at Palmerston on Mondays at 7:15pm and Conder on Fridays. Soshi will also be teaching the Taylor class on Tuesdays for Juniors from Bonner who still want to train with him.
